1517: Martin Luther posts his 95 thesis
1521: The Spanish put an end to the Aztec Empire
1534: The Bible has been translated into German
1536: John Calvin publishes Institutes of the Christian Religion
1547: King Henry the eighth dies
1563: The Council of Trent which focused on Protestantism ends
1608: Quebec City is founded
1776: America declares independence
1810: Colombia declares independence and becomes the first country Latin America to gain it
1812: The War of 1812 begins
1861: The American Civil War begins
1867: Canada becomes a Confederation
1876: Canada passes the Indian Act
1914: World War one begins
1918: World War one ends
1922: T.E Lawrence publishes The Seven Pillars of Wisdom
1925: Adolf Hitler publishes volume I of Mein Kampf
1939: World War two begins
1940: Winston Churchill makes his "We shall Fight Them on the Beaches" speech
1941: Japan attacks the American state of Hawaii
